With Mutations, Beck was able to establish himself as a fully fledged, highly innovative and eclectic artist - one who quite effortlessly draws from a wide variety of genres. Though not the most commercially successful, Mutations remains a critic and fan favorite, featuring the well-known singles "Cold Brains," "Nobody's Fault But My Own" and "Tropicalia."
